ForeverForeman’s Helm has a mining bonus worth a second look
A rare mail helmet in Forever’s beta catalogue carries +5 Mining Skill alongside its combat stats. The bonus is the interesting part; its reported drop source still needs stronger evidence.
The small green line is the hook
Foreman’s Helm looks like a combat item on paper: 166 Armor, +9 Stamina and +8 Strength. Then there is the profession effect: Equip: +5 Mining Skill.
That gives a miner a reason to inspect it separately from a straight combat upgrade. A profession effect can make a piece worth keeping an eye on even when its ordinary stats are no longer the main attraction. Bonus stacking and the mining thresholds it affects still need testing.

The lead points to Windshear Crag
Forever Changes relays a September 29 reader report linking the helm to Foreman Rigger, the rare elite around the Venture Co. camp at Windshear Crag in eastern Stonetalon Mountains. Its item page still labels that source reported, not checked.
The report is a useful lead, but the original offered loot screenshot is not available in the material we inspected. Rigger’s portrait shows the NPC; it does not prove he dropped this item. There is no verified drop chance or farming route to promise here.
Level 21 matters in this beta
The helm requires level 21, so do not read its presence in a catalogue as proof that you can equip it in the current test phase. Blizzard has scheduled an October 1 beta update with a level cap of 30; that announcement is not confirmation that maintenance has finished.
Forever Changes now lists the item in build 1.60.1.70124. The mining bonus is in that record; the reported drop still needs its own confirmation.
For now, this is a utility item to watch after the update. A current loot capture and an equipped mining-skill check would turn the interesting bonus into a much more useful acquisition article.
Sources and context
Forever beta record and an attributed reader report. The mining effect is in the item record; Rigger’s drop, stacking and skill thresholds are untested. October 1 maintenance is scheduled, not confirmed complete.
